A Twist of Beauty

The days have been predominantly grey, these past few weeks, both meteorologically and politically. But just as grey can be applied in a number of ways, so rays of light make their presence felt, even when the sun is hidden from view.

These characters - I believe - are from Beauty and the Beast. Although I think there may be a Rocky Horror Show twist in there somewhere.

The twists here, though, are plain for all to see.

  1. What gloriously colourful pictures - just what is needed to brighten these awful grey days (and I bet the little artist brings her own sunshine)! I really love that twirly curly one :-)

  2. SW 's grasp of what is needed in these dreary days is so much more mature than the fare served up by the weather gods as well as the endless parade of crooks and liars we face on TV.

If she can't make you smile, nothing can.

  3. Those characters are twisting again, like they did last summer. And picture #2 looks like summer to me. SW is a wise artist.

  5. Oh those are just wonderful, thank you for sharing with us! So colourful and vital, and unafraid. The Beauty and the Beast illustration is perfect, especially the anthropomorphic candelabra!

  6. That Beast certainly has a rather winning smile.

  7. Lovely artwork :) The political skies are very dark downunder and the forecast is for extended bad weather - eek!

  8. I have a feeling that SW's future lies in the visual arts. Lovely!
