Extra Helpings of Roobarb and Custard
Two greats have moved on in recent days. Bob Godfrey, and Richard Briers. The two men shared a connection through Roobarb and Custard, a favourite with our daughter when she was younger. A favourite of mine, as I get older.

And a favourite of mine to this day since it was first shown back in the '70s. Bob and Richard will live on in the hearts and minds of all Roobarb and Custard fans.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly will, Kid. And thank goodness for YouTube!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank goodness for the Complete Roobarb and Custard DVD - which I've had for a few years now.
DeleteI loved Roobarb and Custard as much as my children - there seemed a wonderful innocence then.
ReplyDeleteFirst grandchild arrived just after Christmas so I suppose viewing childrens' entertainment is in the near future...wonder if the same innocence prevails...
Anna :o]
Fear not Anna, there's still some good children's TV out 'there'. And, the DVDs of old favourites are easily acquired. Congratulations on joining the Grandparents club. A whole new range of wonderful experiences await!
DeleteThey don’t make them like that anymore.
ReplyDeleteNot quite like that, Friko. But I suspect my grandchildren will be saying the same about their own favourites, in years to come.
